| Monday, 11-01-10 15:36 Correction: I just checked d generic name of Katialis Cream (40.g) and I found out this: Precipitated Sulfur 3.0 g, Zinc Oxide 3.0 g, Resorcinol 3.0 g and Salicylic Acid 1.5 g. I was thinking of d other competitor brand which contains Benzoic acid and Allantoin. Both of them are Over d Counter drugs. Thank you. |

| Monday, 11-01-10 03:34 Hello everyone. Im a general physician from the Philippines. I would like to suggest a study (if anyone can do) about the effectiveness of Ice Therapy + Katialis Cream(Sulfuric acid+Benzoic acid+ allantoin and Zinc Oxide cream)in effectively treating early scabies. I had a patient (family member) wid scabies 2 weeks ago. I am aware of d current available treatment but I did not follow it coz I know it would take time to effect (about 2wks or more). So i did come up to d idea of killing d organism by freezing (theoreticaly, it s very vulnerable to its environment) and gradualy exfoliates it homes. I use ice taken from ref, apply it to d area (wrist) to d point of maximum tolerable pain of freezing(about10 -15min) then put d cream thereafter. I did it at early night time (before d mite lays egg/eats- i mean d usual time before itching)and at d moment of itching. d lesion was about 2.5 cm and it rapidly decreased and eventualy flatens after 4 days. after day 5 i stoped d ice but 24 hrs after, minimal itching recurred so it treated it again for 2days. There was no recurrence but im afraid dat it myt do so I extend another day to put my treatment regimen. It never recurred. d lesion completely healed but i noticed an increased pigmentation over d area dat gradualy decreased over weeks. Can anyone do a study on this? thank you. |
